Hi, I’m Dr. Joshua Carpenter. I was born and raised in southern Utah. I attended Southern Utah University (SUU) where I met my beautiful wife Sara and we were married in January 2007. We spent our honeymoon in Seattle (touring UW Dental school, romantic, I know) and immediately fell in love with western Washington. We both received our Bachelor of Science degrees from SUU and shortly thereafter we packed our bags and took our show on the road down to sunny southern California. There I attended dental school at Western University of Health Sciences as part of the inaugural class and having been awarded an Army Health Professions Scholarship. Sara also attended school and became a registered dental hygienist. In December 2012 we welcomed our fiery red head, Broxton, into the world and fiery might be an understatement. After graduating dental school the Army brought us back to beautiful western Washington and we made Lacey our home. A couple of short years later we found out that Sara was pregnant again but this time we would welcome two. So in April 2015 the twins were born, Brielle and McCoy, and just like that we were a family of five. After serving the brave soldiers in the Army for 4 years I decided it was time to open my own office. I genuinely enjoy seeing kids and families and being a part of the community where I live, so I am thrilled to bring my talents and expertise into my own neighborhood.

When I’m not at work, which Sara will tell you is not often, I like to cook. My smoker is fired up most weekends. I love being with my family and playing superhero with Broxton. I love to hike, camp and be outdoors. I’m a very average golfer but like to chase the ball around. I love being involved with youth sports because I love what it teaches and I can’t wait to coach my children’s little league teams. I also love to travel and have been all over Mexico, golfing in Cabo has been my favorite. I really am very excited to be a part of this community and I can’t wait to host some block parties to bring our community together and get to know my neighbors.

Hi everyone, I'm Sara your super friendly dental hygienist. I can't wait to get to know all of you wonderful people as I clean your teeth and teach you how to have a healthy and beautiful smile. A little about me, I received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah in 2009 and an Associate’s in Dental Hygiene from San Joaquin Valley College in Rancho Cucamonga, California in 2011. That makes 5 years I have been making people smile and I hope to continue for many more years to come.

I am so passionate about dentistry and enjoy being able to build relationships with my patients. I love being able to teach people about their dental health and how it relates to their overall health. I take pride in motivating people to change or improve their habits so that they are able to see tangible results. I truly care about everyone and do my very best to treat you as I would treat my own family. My goal is to make every patient feel comfortable in my chair and to ensure that you are motivated to keep your smiles the healthiest they can be.

Dr. Josh and I have been married since January 2007. We have an amazingly wild and crazy 3 year old boy and ridiculously adorable 1 year old boy/girl twins! We are passionate about bettering the community we live in and thats why we chose to open Meridian Campus Family Dental so close to our home. We plan on staying here for years to come as we raise our growing family. I am also active in my church and love to serve in any capacity I can. While being a mom and a dental hygienist keep me very busy I still love to craft and enjoy the outdoors with my family.

I can't wait to meet each and everyone of you and I hope all your dreams come true!

Most kids don't grow up thinking, "I'm going to be a dental hygienist." Well, neither did I. I wanted to be a helicopter pilot or neurosurgeon. Now I don't fly helicopters but I have flown as a bush pilot in Alaska and I know a good neurosurgeon.

My name is Jennifer McElroy.  Born and raised in Alaska, I pursued dental hygiene at the University of Alaska Anchorage after realizing in nursing school that dental offices are open during daytime hours. After 15 years, I still enjoy getting to know my patients and their families.  I genuinely care whether you are comfortable and knowledgeable about your health. I love to visit kids classrooms, participate in health fairs and help in the community whenever I can. I may be a bit of a practical joker and occasionally have a good joke up my sleeve!

When not working, I love traveling, kayaking, crafting/building, fishing (ask me a fun fact about my fishing when you see me), music and theater, and most beaches! I am so grateful to be a part of the MCFD family!

Always smiling (or singing),

Hi, my name is Amanda and I have been at Meridian Campus Family Dental since 2017. My favorite part about my job is being able to meet so many different people! When I'm not at work I love to wander all over Washington with my husband and daughter! We enjoy camping, fishing, rock hounding, and road trips! We are starting to go on more hikes, so tell me your favorite hike when you stop in the office—bonus points if they are kid friendly! See you soon!

Hi I’m Karstin, I grew up in Gig Harbor just over the bridge. I’m a Washingtonian to the T. My family of 7, plus our pup, love camping, boating, fishing, hiking, skiing and rooting for the Seahawks. I have been a dental assistant for 15 yrs and love what I do. I’ve had the pleasure of working in many specialties but working in general dentistry is my favorite. Getting to know my patients and making them feel comfortable in our office is my specialty. I have found my work family at Meridian Campus Family Dental.  I look forward to meeting all of you!

My name is Tammy. I am married with 3 kids originally from the great state of Texas, but we relocated here a few years ago and love it. I’ve been a dental assistant for a few years now and honestly can’t see myself doing anything else. I originally went to dental assisting school because I was scared of going to the dentist and wanted to know more about it and what to expect when I went and ended up loving it! I couldn’t ask for a better career or team to be a part of.

I’m a huge animal lover big or small, mean or sweet doesn’t really matter. My dream would be to live on a lot of land and have all the animals I could dream of. I’ve been known to cry at the nature shows where the animals die because I love them so much, haha. I also have a huge crush on Adam Sandler. Anything else you want to know just ask me! Can’t wait to meet you.

Hello everyone my name is Danelle and I joined Meridian Campus Family Dental in 2018 and am so grateful to be a part of this family! My main focus is to help patients understand their dental insurance benefits and to coordinate their treatment plans. I enjoy assisting our patients as they visualize and achieve beautiful, healthy smiles!

When not at the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband Craig and our children, Mycah and Jake. We love exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest with our friends, family and dogs. I am an avid reader, enjoy gardening and love to travel. My favorite thing to do when I travel is to haggle with the vendors on the beach.

I was born and raised in Oklahoma. I have been working as a chairside dental assistant since completing my Dental Assisting program in 2016. In August 2018, I joined the awesome team here at Meridian Campus Family Dental. I love meeting and interacting with all of our patients and watching as their smiles transform throughout their treatment.

Outside of the office I enjoy spending time with friends/family, hiking, traveling and seeing what all the PNW has to offer. I am also a huge foodie! I have a million places on my food bucket list and on the weekends I like to travel around to try them all!

Hey y’all! My name is Ashley and I am a southern peach from Georgia. I’m happily married with two fur babies. Although I’m from the south, I received my Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Alaska, Anchorage in 2018. I absolutely love my job and the interactions I get to have with my patients.

I love being outside and in the sunshine and enjoy going to the beach, hiking, kayaking, and exploring new places. I also like finding hidden gems in small towns, especially ice cream shops. I don’t think I would survive without ice cream. I am so grateful to be a part of the Meridian Campus Family Dental team. I look forward to meeting you and taking care of your smile!
